Jacques Janse van Rensburg (born September 6, 1987 ) is a former South African racing cyclist .
Career
Jacques Janse van Rensburg was South African champion in road racing in the junior class in 2005 . In 2008 he was third overall and winner of the junior competition of the Giro del Capo national U23 road champion. After winning the bronze medal at the African Championships in road racing in 2011, he joined the Professional Continental Team MTN-Qhubeka from the 2012 season , which from 2016 drove as the UCI WorldTeam under the name Dimension Data .
For his new team he won his first competitions on the international calendar with the Tour of Eritrea 2012 and the Mzansi Tour 2014. In addition, the Vuelta a España made his first three-week tour of the country in 2014 , which he finished in 59th place overall. In February 2015 van Rensburg became the South African road racing champion. A week later he won the bronze medal in road racing at the African Championships. At the Tour of Oman 2016 , a stage race hors categorie , he finished fifth overall and won the combined classification.
After the end of the 2019 season, he ended his active career.
