Giro d'Eritrea
The Giro d'Eritrea ( Italian for Tour of Eritrea , French Tour d'Érythrée , Tigrinya : ዙር ኤርትራ) is a road bike race that has been held in Eritrea since 1946 .
The cycling tour is part of the UCI Africa Tour in category 2.2. It takes place under the game mode of the stage race . This tour was first held in the then province of Eritrea in 1946 , but it has only been officially recognized by the Union Cycliste Internationale since the tour in 2009 .
