Adrian Hegyvary (also Hegyvari ) (born January 5, 1984 in Chicago ) is an American , formerly Hungarian cyclist who competes in races on the road and track .
Athletic career
At the beginning of his cycling career, Adrian Hegyvary, who has dual citizenship, rode for the Hungarian Cycling Federation; as a member of the national team at the UCI Road World Championships 2006 in Salzburg in the individual time trial of the U23 class, he finished 53rd. In 2010 at the latest, he decided to start for his native country, the USA; since then he has been under contract with the UnitedHealthcare team . He also studied at the University of Washington and works as a cycling trainer.
In 2014, Hegyvary became the American team pursuit champion , and in 2017 he was able to repeat this success. At the Pan-American Track Championships he won silver together with Daniel Summerhill , Logan Owen and Eric Young . In 2018 he won two titles at these continental championships, the points race and the two-man team race with Daniel Holloway . At the Track World Cup in Santiago de Chile , the American four-man with Hegyvary won bronze, at the World Cup in Milton , Canada , Adrian Hegyvary and Holloway took third place in the two-man team.

Adrian Hegyvary has been married to the New Zealand cyclist Rushlee Buchanan since 2014 (as of 2018).
