Eric D. Marcotte (born February 8, 1980 in Marquette ) is an American cyclist .

For many years, until 2012, Eric Marcotte only competed in domestic bike races as a hobby. 2007 and 2008 he won the criterion of Quad Cities , as well as multiple stages, such as the Valley of the Sun Stage Race , the Tour of Murrieta and the Joe Martin Stage Race . In 2011 he was two-time national Masters champion, in road racing and in the criterion .

In 2013 Marcotte received his first contract with a professional team. The following year he was American road racing champion and decided a stage of the Vuelta a la Independencia Nacional in the Dominican Republic .

Marcotte lives in Scottsdale , Arizona , is a qualified doctor of chiropractic and continues to practice alongside his cycling career. In the peloton he will therefore be Dr. Called Eric .
