William Chann McRae (born October 11, 1971 in Albany ) is a former American cyclist and current team manager.

In 1992, Chann McRae became the American champion in the amateur street race , and two years later he finished third. In 1997 he won the Lancaster Classic and finished sixth in the Peace Race . In 1998 he won the national championship title in the criterion , came second overall in the Lower Saxony Tour and again sixth in the overall ranking of the Peace Tour in 1999, he finished fifth at the world championship in road racing., 2000 eighth place.

In 2000 McRae started at the Giro d'Italia and finished 17th in the overall standings, as well as the Tour de France , but gave up after the 12th stage. In 2001 he competed in the Vuelta a España . In 2002 he was American road racing champion, ahead of Danny Pate and George Hincapie . Together with Hincapie, Tom Boonen and other riders from the US Postal Service team , he won a stage of the Tour of Catalonia in the team time trial .

After retiring from active cycling, Chann McRae worked as a team manager, for example with the Chipotle-First Solar Development Team (2011–2012) and since then with Garmin Sharp (as of 2014).
