Tom Schuler

Tom Schuler (born November 28, 1956 in Detroit ) is a former American cyclist and today's cycling coach.

In his amateur days , Tom Schuler won around 100 races, including the 1979 Fitchburg Longsjo Classic . In 1985 he turned professional and was one of the first seven members of the 7-Eleven cycling team , for which he also worked as a trainer and team manager. In 1987 he became the American road racing champion.

From 1991 to 2003 Schuler was the sporting director of the Saturn Cycling Team . Today he owns his own sports management company that looks after several cycling teams.

In 2005 Tom Schuler was inducted into the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame .
