The US Bicycling Hall of Fame (USBHOF) is a foundation . Every year new members are accepted who have either been successful cyclists, have committed themselves to cycling all their lives or donated exhibits. The members are divided into seven different categories: road and track cyclists before 1945, road and track cyclists 1945 to 1975, road and track cyclists after 1975, mountain biking , BMX , special awards and sponsors of cycling.

The Hall of Fame was originally located in Bridgewater , New Jersey , the place where the oldest cycling race in the United States, the Tour of Somerville , takes place.
