Mark Brian Gorski (born January 6, 1960 in Evanston , Illinois ) is a retired American cyclist and cycling official.

Gorski started cycling in 1974 and had his first major success in 1978 when he became the US junior track sprint champion. In 1980 and 1983 he was US adult champion in the same discipline and was nominated for the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles because of the 1983 win . At the Games he prevailed in the final of the track sprint tournament against his compatriot Nelson Vails and won the gold medal, which was Gorski's greatest sporting triumph. At the track cycling world championships he was fourth in 1985 and fifth in 1986 . At the Pan American Games in 1987 , he won a silver medal.

After retiring from active sport, Gorski became a board member of the US Cycling Association and also served as the sporting director. In 1999 Gorski became director of the US Postal Service Pro Cycling Team , with which Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France five times .

Gorski was inducted into the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame for American Cycling in 1995 .
