James Mellen (born January 1, 1996 in Schnecksville ) is an American cyclist.

Athletic career

In 2013 and 2014 , James Mellen started at the UCI Track World Championships for Juniors , but without being able to secure a top spot.

In 2015, James Mellen became the US elite champion for the first time in a team sprint with Matthew Baranoski and David Espinoza . The following year he won two titles, in the keirin and also in the team sprint (with James Alvord and David Espinoza). In 2017 he became national sprint champion . At the Pan American Championships in 2019, he set a new national record over 200 meters with 9.598 seconds.
