Fedor Ray

Fedor Strahl (born July 10, 1926 in Breslau , † April 4, 2009 in Isernhagen ) was a German entrepreneur and conservationist .

Life

Strahl first attended school in Breslau, but fled to Bremen in 1945. There he began an agricultural apprenticeship. After moving to Hanover , he passed his Abitur there in 1947 at the Luther High School. Then from 1953 to 1957, Strahl studied business administration at the Universities of Cologne and Würzburg . During his studies in Cologne he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau, which was then based there . He completed his studies with an examination for a degree in business administration in 1957 and a doctorate to become a Dr. rer. pole. 1958 from. He then became entrepreneur and managing director of the paint factory and chemical factory Weserland KG founded by his father . Strahl's special commitment was nature conservation . Here he was for many years Vice President of the Federal Board of the Nature Conservation Union Germany . To promote nature-loving youngsters, he donated the Dr. Fedor C. Strahl Youth Conservation Prize . In 1989, Strahl was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in recognition of his work in the field of nature conservation .
