FEE (band)

FEE is a band from the Neue Deutsche Welle from Braunschweig . It emerged in 1979 through renaming and changes in the line-up from the band Holde Fee , founded in 1970 . The members were: Martina Knorr (vocals, from 1982), Marlies Borcherding (vocals on the first album Notaufnahme ), Andreas Becker (guitar), Lothar Brandes (keyboard), Thomas Ruhstorfer (vocals), Gerhard Reulecke (bass), Reinhard Lewitzki (Drums).

FEE has released the following albums:

  • Emergency room , 1981, single: America
  • No prescription , 1982 Singles: Pigs in Space (this piece was not played on the radio due to the choice of words) and Frankfurt, Frankfurt
  • SchizoFEEnie , 1983
  • Big Deeds, Crooked Things , 1985. Singles: Crazy , CIA , Tough Men Don't Cry

There was also a single in 1987 with the title You have to go to the Bundeswehr ( cover version of the title In the Army Now ). In the mid-1990s a best-of CD with two new songs was released on the small Braunschweig label Remember Records .

The musicians today

The singer and composer Tom Ruhstorfer was the managing director of the Landesmusikakademie Niedersachsen gGmbH in Wolfenbüttel until his retirement in 2018 . There are also works Gerd Reulecke in the technical support of the building (caretaker). The music teacher Lothar Brandes works today in Hamburg as an advertising musician . The guitarist Andreas Becker played in Peter Maffay's band between 1989 and 2004 and also composed songs for Maffay. Reinhard (Ralli) Lewitzki still drums in various bands (including Hawkids, Cocker Cover Crew, Salzgitter Allstars), headed the popular music department of the Salzgitter Music School after FEE and organized the international drummer meeting in Salzgitter, at which world-famous band- and give studio drummers the handle.

On January 24th, 2018 FEE started their “Pigs in Space Tour” in the Bremen warehouse .
