Felice Tedeschi

Felice Tedeschi (born January 1, 1962 in Montelesso ) is an Italian racing driver .

Career

Tedeschi began his motorsport career in formula racing in 1982 . He competed in Formula Fiat Abarth for three years . In addition, he took part in two races in the Italian Formula 3 championship in 1982 . In 1985 Tedeschi returned to the Italian Formula 3 championship and stayed in this racing series for six years. After a 13th place in the 1985 season and 16th overall in 1986, Tedeschi achieved his first podium finish in Italian Formula 3 in 1987. He finished this season in twelfth overall. In 1988 Tedeschi won his only race in the Italian Formula 3 championship. With another podium finish, he also achieved his best overall ranking this season with seventh place. After a 14th place in 1989 and 21st overall in 1990, Tedeschi left the Italian Formula 3. 1991 Tedeschi moved to the international Formula 3000 championship at Pavesi Racing . Tedeschi qualified for five out of eight races and only crossed the finish line once with a 15th place. For the last race of the season he was replaced by Massimiliano Angelelli .

After a two-year break, Tedeschi returned to motorsport and switched to touring cars . He started the next four years in the Italian Superturismo Championship for Tecnica Racing in an Alfa Romeo 155 TS . His best overall placings were two 15th places in 1995 and 1997. In 1995 he also took part in two races of the Spanish Touring Car Championship. In 1998 Tedeschi switched to sports car racing and competed in the International Sports Racing Series . He won the CN rating twice . Tedeschi stayed in the series for two more years, which had since been renamed Sports Racing World Cup . He only took part in individual races.

After Tedeschi took part in three races of the Porsche Supercup in 2003, he did not compete in any racing series for a long time. In 2011 Tedeschi returned to motorsport at the age of 49. He started two races in the Superstars Series for the Roma Racing Team . He was 24th in the Italian ranking. In 2012 Tedeschi planned to compete in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) at the age of 50 . At Proteam Racing , he received a cockpit in a BMW 320 TC for the weekend in Sonoma . However, Tedeschi had a serious accident in the first training session, which he survived unharmed. However, the vehicle suffered an irreparable total loss, so that it did not start in the races.
