Felice Torelli
Felice Torelli (* 9. September 1667 in Verona , † 11. June 1748 in Bologna ) was an Italian painter from the family of artists Torelli .
Life
Felice Torelli was a student of Santo Prunati and Giuseppe dal Sole and worked in Bologna , where he was known for his altarpieces . He married the painter Lucia Casalini (1677–1762), who was also a student of dal Sole and stood out for her portraits, her self-portrait hangs in the Uffizi . Torelli's works can be found in Bergamo , the Pinacoteca of Bologna, as well as in the university library there and in the city's churches. Further works with mainly religious motifs can be found mainly in churches in Faenza , Ferrara , Milan and Pisa and Verona.
His son Stefano worked in Germany and Russia.
