Felix Bidembach the Younger (* 1604 in Stuttgart ; † 1672 ; also Felix Bidenbach the Younger ) was a German Lutheran theologian .

Life

Felix Bidembach the Elder J., born in 1604 as son Felix Bidembach the Elder Ä. After he had studied at the University of Tübingen and was dismissed by it, he received his doctorate for a baccalaureus , and in 1929 for a master’s degree . He then studied at the University of Strasbourg , where he was since 1633 Defending Dent since 1636 worked, theology, was pastor at St. Leonard's Church in Stuttgart and became a year later, both the pin preacher as to Konsistorial- and the Church Council appointed . from 1639 to 1641 he was also dean and city ​​preacher in Böblingen and then from 1660 as abbot at the Adelberg monastery . He held this position until his death in 1672. Bidembach had worked with Jesuits and tried - unsuccessfully - to obtain the doctorate .

Felix Bidembach was embroiled in conflicts that damaged the family's reputation. Even at university, he did not obey the house rules. His mother stood up for him, in which she argued with the relationship with the esteemed Brenz family. Nevertheless, Bidembach was expelled from the university. His collaboration with the Jesuits also turned out to be poor.
