Felix Rothenhäusler

Felix Rothenhäusler (* 1981 ) is a German theater director .

Life

Rothenhäusler studied theater and media studies in Bayreuth and Paris and directing at the Hamburg Theater Academy . He has directed at the Bielefeld Theater , the Saarbrücken State Theater , the German Theater in Göttingen , the Heidelberg Theater , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus and has been in-house director at the Bremen Theater since 2012 . In 2015 he directed Reinhard Jirgl's science fiction novel Nothing from You on Earth at the Münchner Kammerspiele .

With his production Oedipus , Rothenhäusler was invited to the Körber Studio Junge Regie in Hamburg and the Radikal jung Festival in Munich while still studying . His production of Eugène Labiches The Rue de Lourcine affair was invited to the 2010 Festival Premières in Strasbourg .

His staging of the feminism drama Wunde R by Enis Maci experienced a COVID-19 -due premiere on June 15, 2020 in the Münchner Kammerspiele .
