Peter Felixberger

Peter Felixberger (born August 26, 1960 in Landshut ) is a German journalist and author . He lives in Erding .

After graduating from high school, Felixberger studied political science, sociology and newspaper studies at the University of Munich (1981 to 1987). In 1980 Peter Felixberger opened a bookstore ("Buchladen Turmschieber") in Erding, which attracted a cultural audience around Munich with numerous author readings.

He published his first reports and reports (1982 to 1986) in the local editorial office of the Süddeutsche Zeitung . From 1988 to 1990 he worked as a non-fiction editor at the Modern Industry publishing house in Munich. During this time he began working as a book critic for the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

In June 1990 Felixberger founded the editorial office Wort & Tat and supervised freelance book projects in small and large non-fiction publishers. From 1995 Felixberger worked for the world exhibition EXPO 2000 . He conceived and realized the twelve-volume book series Visions for the 21st Century with 80 authors from over 30 countries, which was to be published by Campus Verlag from 1999 to 2000. In addition, the editorial office Wort & Tat documented all global projects of the first world exhibition in Germany.

On January 11, 2001, Felixberger founded changeX - the independent online magazine for change in business and society . He was managing director and editor-in-chief until October 2007. Felixberger analyzed the background to globalization , cultural change and changes in the economy and society. From 2006 to 2008, together with Michael Gleich , he set up the first global culture count: Culture Counts .

Currently (as of 2010) he works as program manager for Murmann Publishers in Hamburg, is editor-in-chief and co-editor of the Kursbuch and Kursbuch.edition as well as co-editor of the magazine enormous .
