The rock carving of Le Closeau ( French Le visage gravé du Closeau ) is located in Nanteau-sur-Essonne in the Seine-et-Marne department , south of Boigneville in the Essonne department and near Malesherbes in the Loiret department in a three- departmental corner in France .

The engravings on the Statuenmenhiren similar facial Le Closeau is located together with a Axtdarstellung on a suspected established boulder. Based on comparisons with statue menhirs in Guernsey and Switzerland , the Closeau stele could be one of the oldest Neolithic monuments in France.

There are also analogies between this and other representations on rocks and steles in the region. The face of Le Closeau is similar to that in the nearby Vallée aux Noirs .
