Ferdinand Frank

Ferdinand Frank (born July 23, 1873 in Willisdorf , † February 22, 1936 in Zurich , Catholic , entitled to residency in Willisdorf and Zurich) was a Swiss politician (SP) .

Life

Ferdinand Frank was born on July 23, 1873 in Willisdorf, the son of the farmer Jakob Frank. At the age of 17 Ferdinand Frank was employed as a factory worker in addition to his parents' business. As a result, Frank worked as a railroad worker from 1895 before he was deployed as a switchman and trade unionist in Zurich from 1900 . To this end, he acted from 1917 to 1936 as secretary of the Association of Swiss Switch and Railway Keepers (VSWB), of which from 1919 he was half paid. In addition, Ferdinand Frank, a supporter of the unified trade union SEV , was active in the committee of the SGB .

Ferdinand Frank, who remained unmarried, died on February 22, 1936, five months before he would have turned 63 in Zurich.

Political offices

Ferdinand Frank represented the Zurich SP on the municipal level between 1922 and 1928 in the Grand City Council. In addition, he was involved at the federal level in the National Council , to which he was a member from 1919 to 1835, primarily for the concerns of railway staff.
