Ferdinand Karmelk
Ferdi Karmelk ( June 1, 1950 - August 20, 1988 ) was a Dutch guitarist .
Career
From 1976 to 1978 he was a member of Wild Romance , the band of Herman Brood . He also starred on Street (1977), the legendary Dutch debut album by Herman Brood & his Wild Romance. He later became the guitarist of Nina Hagen's band . For her album NunSexMonkRock (1982) Karmelk composed two songs, Smack Jack and Dread Love . The single Smack Jack had a top ten ranking in Norway in 1982 .
Karmelk was severely addicted to heroin and died of AIDS at the age of 38 . He was the father of Cosma Shiva Hagen (* 1981).
