Ferdinand von Merveldt (politician, 1788)

Ferdinand Anton Xaver Maria Carl Wilhelm Graf von Merveldt (* 18th April 1788 ; † 28. May 1853 in Lembeck ) was Prussian manor sbesitzer and politicians .

He came from the Westphalian nobility of the Merveldt from the Münsterland. His parents were the landowner August Ferdinand Graf von Merveldt (1759-1830) and his first wife Maria Theresia Josepha von Pergen (1763-12.1802). Karl von Merveldt was his brother. On November 14, 1820, he married, who was a Catholic denomination, in St. Paulus Cathedral in Münster, Sophia Freiin von Kettler zu Harkotten.

Von Merveldt was the owner of the manor at Lembeck Castle and Westerwinkel, Hereditary Marshal in the Principality of Münster and Prussian Chamberlain . In 1828 he was a representative of the Prince of Salm-Salm and in 1830/31 as a representative of Duke Alfred von Croÿ participant in the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia . From 1833 to 1852 he was an elected member of the provincial parliament for knighthood in the constituency of East Münster. In 1847 he took part in the first and in 1848 in the second United State Parliament .
