The Ferdinand Street is a street in the northern part of downtown Moenchengladbach . It is located south of the Hermann Piecq facility , which is classified as Bundesstraße 57 . Viersener Straße runs to the west.

Course of the road

Ferdinandstrasse branches off to the east from Bettrather Strasse, which in turn branches off shortly before northeast from Viersener Strasse, which runs from Mönchengladbach city center over a length of 3.5 kilometers to the neighboring town of Viersen to the north . Ferdinandstrasse initially runs around 120 meters in a north-easterly direction, before continuing in a south-easterly direction for 80 meters. Except for a small shop and a restaurant, it is purely residential. It ends at Parkstrasse, which, together with Hohenzollernstrasse, creates a cross connection between Viersener Strasse and Bismarckstrasse / Kaldenkirchener Strasse, which also leads north out of the city.

Architectural monuments

In the western section of Ferdinandstrasse there are several listed, mostly three-story residential buildings, which were built towards the end of the 19th century, see the list of architectural monuments in Mönchengladbach (monuments D – F) , including their own article:
