Ferenc Bessenyei

Ferenc Bessenyei (born February 10, 1919 in Hódmezővásárhely , † December 27, 2004 in Lajosmizse ) was a Hungarian actor . He was the recipient of the Kossuth Prize and one of the nation's twelve Hungarian actors .
His career began in 1940 at the Szeged City Theater . After stints in Miskolc and Pécs , he came to the Budapest National Theater in 1950 , where he played until 2000. After that he went to the Hungarian Theater for a while , also in Budapest, before retiring to his estate to live with his wife and his beloved horses.
He also appeared in a number of films, many of which were also shown in Germany.
