Ferenc Keresztes fisherman
Ferenc Keresztes-Fischer (born February 18, 1881 in Pécs , Austria-Hungary ; † March 3, 1948 in Vienna ) was a Hungarian lawyer and politician who served as Minister of the Interior from 1932 to 1935 and from 1938 to 1944.
Life
Keresztes-Fischer first worked at a bank in Pécs, then was prefect of Baranya County under the Horthy regime from 1921 to 1931 , and from 1925 also of Somogy County . He was Minister of the Interior from 1931 to 1935 and from 1938 to March 1944, and Prime Minister for three days in March 1942.
His brother Lajos Keresztes-Fischer was Lieutenant General and in 1938 Chief of the General Staff.
