Ferenc Tégla

Ferenc Tégla ( Ferenc Gábor Tégla; born July 15, 1947 in Szegvár , Csongrád County ) is a former Hungarian discus thrower .

In 1966 he won the European Junior Games in Odessa .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City he was eleventh and at the European Athletics Championships in 1969 in Athens sixth. He was seventh each at the EM in 1971 in Helsinki and at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.

A bronze medal at the 1973 Universiade was followed by a ninth place at the 1974 European Championship in Rome. In 1975 he won silver at the Universiade.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal he came in eleventh and at the 1978 European Championships in Prague in ninth place.

He was Hungarian champion six times (1968–1970, 1976, 1977, 1984). He set his personal best of 67.38 m on October 12, 1977 in Szentes .
