Fernando Paulo "Nando" Matola (born August 9, 1982 , † September 2, 2007 ) was a Mozambican national soccer player .

In 2002, Matola moved from the Mozambican first division club Costa do Sol to the South African Premier League club Black Leopards . Here the defender was also the team captain recently.

Matola was killed in a car accident while on the way to Maputo to prepare the national team for the qualifying game in Tanzania for the African Championship . He had lost control of his car on the road from Tzaneen to Leidenburg and drove it into a tree. Matola's wife and two children were also killed in the accident.
