Fernando Joy Raposo Laurencio (born July 7, 1989 in Stuttgart ) is a French basketball player of German origin and of Cameroonian and Portuguese descent.

career

Raposo was born in Stuttgart as the son of German parents (the mother is of Cameroonian origin , the father of Portuguese origin ). He had German citizenship, but later gave up to take French citizenship. He also has the Cameroonian and Portuguese citizenship. He lived in Germany until he was 14. He played basketball in Ludwigsburg and then moved to France on the mediation of Narcisse Ewodo , where he played in the youth department of Pau-Orthez . In the 2007/08 season he made his debut in the French premier league. In the summer of 2009, the 2.06-meter-tall indoor player took part in the European Championship of this age group with the U20 national team of France and scored an average of 7.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per match during the tournament.

At club level, Raposo moved from Pau-Orthez to the second division team SO Maritime Boulogne in 2010, where he stayed until 2012. From 2012 to 2015 he was under contract with the first division club Entente Orleans 45 . In the 2015/16 season he played for JSF Nanterre (also first division), followed by two years for another first division club, BCM Gravelines Dunkerque . In the summer break of 2018, Raposo moved to Olympique d'Antibes within the league .
