Fernando Sánchez Cipitria (born September 12, 1971 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

Fernando started his career in Real Madrid's youth . After playing in the second team, he moved to Real Valladolid in 1995 where he stayed for two seasons. In 1997 he moved to league competitor Betis Sevilla , where he also stayed for two years. In 1999 he moved to Deportivo La Coruna, from where he was loaned to CA Osasuna in 2001 and after a year in 2002 he was loaned to Hannover 96 in Germany . There he only made two league appearances and in 2003 moved back to Spain, where he was loaned to FC Córdoba, where he was no longer used. Then he ended his active career.

In 1998 he made two appearances for the Spanish national team .
