Fernando Salazar (born July 13, 1979 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a Mexican football player on the position of defender .

Life

Salazar received his first professional contract for the 1998/99 season with his hometown club Atlas Guadalajara , for which he - with a six-monthly break in early 2001 in service of Deportivo Toluca - played until the end of 2004.

At the turn of the year 2004/05 he moved to CF Pachuca , with whom he won the Mexican championship twice ( Clausura 2006 , Clausura 2007 ) and the CONCACAF Champions' Cup ( 2007 , 2008 ) as well as the Copa Sudamericana ( 2006 ) and the SuperLiga ( 2007 ) won.
