The telecommunications tower Cottbus (also called Cotty or Bunter Turm ) is a 138 meter high telecommunications tower owned by Deutsche Telekom AG in Cottbus. The Cottbus telecommunications tower was built in 1993 by Dyckerhoff & Widmann AG. The building stands out because of its colorful paintwork, which is why it is also called the Colorful Tower. The Cottbus telecommunications tower serves as a radio relay tower, as a transmission tower for mobile communications , as a cable headend and for broadcasting Radio Cottbus programs on the VHF frequency 94.5 MHz.
