The station is operated by Lokal-Radio Cottbus GmbH and is part of the local radio chain The Radio Group . Stephan Schwenk is the owner and managing director.
According to media analysis 2019/2, the station reached 171,000 listeners. This makes 94.5 Radio Cottbus the market leader of the advertising-relevant target group of 14 to 49 year olds in the city of Cottbus.

The station starts with the morning show Der neue Morgen from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. This is followed by the lunch program Helena's World from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 2 to 6 p.m. it's off to the end of the day .
From Monday to Friday there is local news every half hour between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon) and world news every hour all day.
Every Tuesday there is Sport Total Lokal from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with reports on all aspects of regional popular sport. This also includes the energy blog for all fans of FC Energie Cottbus. Every 14 days on Thursdays from 5 to 6 pm “The Club Round Table” follows, where clubs from the region are presented in the program.
On Friday the weekend starts at 8 p.m. with 94.5 Radio Cottbus and the Weekend Party Live from Peitz with DJ Lars.
On Saturday, the station starts from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. with “The new morning on Saturday”. The chart-oriented Top 20 radio show will follow from 4 p.m., from 8 p.m. DJ Enrico Ostendorf will play "In the Mix with Enrico Ostendorf"
