There are hundreds of national parks worldwide . This list is intended to provide an overview of this topic. For each state , the number of national parks and (if known) the total protected area as well as their share of the national area is given. Detailed lists with all national parks in a country and the associated key figures are linked.
National parks in Europe
In total there are more than 300 national parks in Europe . The largest European national park is the Jugyd Wa National Park in the European part of Russia with 1,891,700 ha.
