The Swedish national park Ängsö is located on an island in the Stockholm archipelago . Of the 168 hectare protected area, 93 hectares are water surfaces.

In the 17th century there were two islands here that grew together due to the uplift and were used for agriculture. By placing it under protection as a national park, the pastures and meadows shaped by humans are preserved in a state that was typical for the 19th century.

The flora of the area still shows the species-rich flora that was common for the time. The abundance of flowers in the area is particularly impressive in spring.

The island is also rich in bird life, and ospreys and white-tailed eagles can also sometimes be seen.

The national park can only be reached by water.
