The Stenshuvud National Park is located in Sweden , on the Skåne Baltic coast a little south of Kivik . Stenshuvud, the “head of stone”, is a primeval mountain that rises almost 100 m above the sea. It has been a landmark for seafarers since time immemorial.

The national park is characterized by deciduous forest. Hornbeams predominate . Among the hundreds of plants that grow here due to the mild climate are the numerous orchids . The bird world is also well represented, including many nightingales .

Stenshuvud National Park is easily accessible by car. There is a visitor center in the park , Stenshuvud naturum , with an exhibition. Disabled-friendly hiking trails lead through the park and to the top of Stenshuvud.
