The Sonfjället National Park is located in the Scandinavian Mountains south of the Swedish river Ljusnan near the town of Hede . It consists of an isolated mountain range with five peaks, of which the Högfjället peak is the highest at 1278 m. Forested mountains with partially untouched birch forests and wetlands are in front of the massif. The national park is best known for its bear population.
