Radio Wittlich 94.7 was a local radio station for the Wittlich region . Broadcasting began in September 2010. Until November 7, 2010 a permanent advertising loop ran for the station. Actual broadcasting took place on November 7, 2010. On August 1, 2015, broadcasting was stopped because Radio Wittlich could not be positioned profitably. The station could only be heard by about 50% of the residents in the city of Wittlich via VHF.

General

Radio Wittlich GmbH was the operator. A music and information program with a focus on pop music and local news was broadcast from the broadcast studio in Wittlich. The station was part of " The Radio Group ".

The program was broadcast 24 hours. Between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., the moderated broadcast from the old Wittlich train station was produced and broadcast live by a team of around 10 people. Between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., Radio Wittlich broadcast a central program of the Radio Group.

It was broadcast on the frequency 94.7 MHz for the greater Wittlich area. At the same time, Radio Wittlich could be heard on the Wittlich cable network on frequency 105.5, as well as on the web.
