Antenne Idar-Oberstein , until 2014 Radio Idar-Oberstein ( also: 87.6 Radio Idar-Oberstein ) is a private radio station from Idar-Oberstein in Rhineland-Palatinate , which is broadcast regionally and which designs the editorial program together with sister station Antenne Bad Kreuznach .
Since January 1, 2015, the transmitter has been located at Mainzer Straße 106 in Idar-Oberstein. The transmitter is part of the local radio chain The Radio Group owned by Stephan Schwenk, which was created in 2008 through a new tender for radio frequencies by the State Center for Media and Communication . The radio program with regional and local reference has been broadcast since June 1, 2008 on the VHF frequency Idar-Oberstein 87.6 MHz, which was previously used by Rockland Radio . In the cable network, the station can be heard on frequency 96.05.

criticism
In the course of the payment difficulties at The Radio Group , which became known since April 2014, the Rhein-Zeitung reported in July 2014 that the company had successfully prevented the establishment of a works council at Radio Idar-Oberstein.
