The telecommunications tower Großhau is a 121 meter high telecommunications tower ( type tower ) of the German radio tower near Großhau in North Rhine-Westphalia . It was built in 1973 and is popularly known as the "Eifelhoer" (Eifelhorn).
In addition to radio relay, it serves to broadcast the program of Radio Rur , the local radio for the Düren district . In August 2001, the telecommunications tower was the object of a spectacular art project, the District Culture Days in Hürtgenwald , during which a huge yellow, green and blue flag was hung on the company floor.
About one kilometer southwest of the tower is another radio tower operated by the Bundeswehr.
