The Zhuzhou Television Tower , sometimes called East Shenlong Tower , is a 293-meter high TV tower of lattice steel in the Chinese Zhuzhou . It represents an important supply unit in the region for the transmission of radio and television programs and is also accessible to the public as a lookout tower.
The spherical tower cage at a height of 200 meters has a ring element protruding outwards, so that the structure is reminiscent of the planet Saturn . The tower construction, which tapers towards the top, has a 70-meter platform above which oversized analog clocks point in all four directions.
