The festival calendar of the acrobatic troupe provides an overview of the ancient Egyptian festivals to be celebrated from the 35th year of the reign of Amenemhet III. with the participation of the acrobat troupe.

background

Old light crescent moon

The festival list names processions that were attended by the acrobatic troupe as part of public performances and were associated with dance-like events. Other festivals of the year in which the acrobat group did not take part were not mentioned in this list of celebrations.

The fixed appointments are subject to either the administrative or the lunar calendar , with the final dates in the lunar calendar being announced by the priesthood at short notice after the actual course of the new moon .

The entries in the lunar calendar represent the respective day after the last Altlicht . After the announcement, the actual date was noted in the administrative calendar and later recorded in the respective temple diary .
