The business purpose of the company is the trade in or transport of liquid gas ( propane or butane ) as heating, fuel or autogas as well as the implementation of related services. As a technical service provider, fht carries out repairs and tests on gas containers.
fht is a joint venture of several liquefied gas traders, who mainly supply their end consumers through the company. The shareholders are KR Knauber Rheingas GmbH & Co. KG, Bonn with 33.86%, Westfalen AG , Münster with 33.86%, and Drachen-Propane GmbH, Frankfurt with 12.14%, TEGA - Technische Gase und Gasetechnik GmbH, Würzburg with 10.92% and Tyczka Energy AG, Geretsried with 9.22%.
fht delivers gas from around 70 locations in Germany and has a fleet of around 150 tankers . Parts of the fleet are with LPG operated
The company is an extraordinary member of the German Association of Liquid Gas eV , which also includes the shareholders as full members.
