Fidel Negrete
Fidel Negrete ( Fidel Negrete Gamboa; born March 23, 1932 , † November 17, 2016 ) was a Mexican marathon runner .
In 1962 he won silver in the half marathon at the Central America and Caribbean Games . The following year he won the 1963 Pan American Games in São Paulo in 2:27:56 h.
At the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he came in 21st place with his personal best of 2:26:07 h.
In 1963 he was Mexican champion in the 30 km road race and in 1965 in the marathon.
