The Fil Man Made Group (FMMG) is an Italian company in the textile industry based in Trevignano (Veneto) .
history
The company was founded in 1972 by Pietro Parodi in Trieste . In 1973 the first production facility was built in Trevignano. In 1980 a factory in San Giorgio di Nogaro went into operation, which was expanded to over 12,500 m² through extensions in 1984 and 1997. In 1991 the subsidiary Sunfil was founded in Maniago , which has a production area of 45,000 m². Another expansion took place in 1997 with the takeover of Turati. In 2000 a branch was opened in Trieste with 43,000 m² of production space and 6,000 m² of sales area. The Fil Group operates further production facilities in the People's Republic of China (since 2006), Portugal and Turkey .
In 2013 FMMG became the majority owner of the Austrian yarn manufacturer Borckenstein . The GmbH with around 286 employees and an annual production of 12,500 tons of yarn and twine filed for bankruptcy in 2016. A recovery plan was presented.
Products
Are produced ring and OE yarns of natural and synthetic fibers in the fields of art, automobiles, decorative, curtains, household textiles, furniture, sunscreens, protective clothing, underwear and filtration, clothing of knitted and woven fabrics, as well as chenille .
