history
On the site of the former village church from 1851, a remarkable modern church was built from 1963 to 1965 according to the plans of the architects Kurt Eckel and Sepp Stein . The branch church was consecrated by Auxiliary Bishop Jakob Weinbacher to commemorate the pain of Mary .
architecture
The hall space as a tent construction is three-sided. The raised altar area is raised by the three-sided church tower with an open roof. Both the hall and the tower are enclosed by a flat roof with a rectangular floor plan. The main facade with portal shows concrete reliefs with christological scenes by the sculptor Fritz Tiefenthaler . Josef Mikl painted the 14 glass windows in 1964.
Furnishing
The ceramic tabernacle niche was designed by the artist Peter Gangl. The organ was built by the organ builder Rudolf Novak in 1967.
