Building description

The nave is built into the slope to the west. The entrance on the south side leads to the wooden west gallery, the entrance on the north side is the main entrance to the church. The roof turret was put on in 1863. The choir is closed on the outside and has a five-eighth closure on the inside . The single nave nave is flat-roofed and has rectangular baroque windows. The keystones and two consoles of the ribbed vault in the choir are painted with coats of arms.

The Gothic frescoes on the walls and in the choir vault were created during the construction period and show a South Tyrolean influence. The Annunciation to Mary can be seen on the east wall, scenes from the legend of Catherine on the two side walls. The eight angels playing music in the vaulted fields are framed by illusionistic tracery parapets.
