description

Madonna lactans, fresco, 15th century

The church is a low, late Gothic building that was converted to Baroque style in the 17th century . The church, extended to the west, has an easterly ridge turret with a pointed helmet. To the north of the choir is a sacristy with a portal chamfered with a pointed arch. The roof was re-covered with larch shingles in 1992. During the external restoration in 1995, the early Baroque decor of the 17th century with corner blocks, window sashes and cornices and a late Gothic fresco of Maria lactans from the beginning of the 15th century were restored .

You enter the church through the pointed arched south portal. The nave has a flat roof, the choir vaulted with a groin . Mathias Übelbacher created the rococo altar with column retable and sacrificial portals in 1781. The altarpiece depicting St. Martin was painted by Joseph Köstler in 1783. A late Gothic statuette of St. Barbara stands in the altarpiece . A rural late Baroque seated figure of a Mother of God is placed in a niche to the right of the triumphal arch. The church also has a Gothic font .
