history

In the past, Holy Mass took place in the classroom of the Neusserling elementary school under cramped conditions. Under the aegis of the school director Wolfgang Dobesberger, a church building committee was set up, innkeeper Johann Roither provided the building site and - despite initial resistance from the state and parish - planning began. The foundation stone was laid on Whit Monday 1947 by Abbot Balduin Wiesmayr from Wilhering Abbey . The historicizing hall with a rectangular nave and low, retracted polygonal choir was built according to plans by master builder Johann Weixelbaumer . In 1948 the church was consecrated by Abbot Wilhelm Ratzenböck. The church tower was completed in 1949.

The equipment was only gradually purchased later for cost reasons. For example, the windows were originally simple wooden windows with grooved white glass.

Furnishing

The church windows installed in 1996 were designed by the Viennese artist Silvia Kropfreiter .

The altar, which was originally built for a church that was planned but not yet realized, comes from the Trefflingen master carpenter Wenzel Wagner .

The organ comes from the parish church of Vorderweissenbach and was created by the Ottensheim organ builder Leopold Breinbauer around 1900.
