History and architecture
There was already a chapel in Niederranna before 1900, and another chapel was built on its foundation walls in 1908. After the inauguration of the Rannariedl parish church and the associated closure of the old Rannariedl castle church in 1953, a branch church was built in Niederranna an der Donau in Niederranna an der Donau according to plans by master builder Resch. The church was consecrated in 1956. In 2008 the church was extensively renovated.
Furnishing
The church has a simple interior from the time it was built. The sanctuary consists of the altar table, the tabernacle and a group of figures representing the Queen of Mary.
