Branch church Nussberg

The small Roman Catholic branch church Nussberg stands on the southern slope of the Freudenberg in the village of Nussberg in the municipality of Moosburg in the Klagenfurt-Land district . It is a branch church of the Tigring parish and St. Consecrated to Rupert . It is a listed building .

history

The sacred building is first mentioned in 1616. In 1996 the interior was restored.

The high altar

The nave is of Romanesque origin, the apse in the east is Gothic with a 5/8 end. The eastern eight-sided ridge turret wears an onion helmet . The top is formed by a tower ball with a double-armed cross and weathercock . All parts of the building are covered with stone slabs. A small Gothic window can be seen on the south wall, the other windows were changed later. The north and west walls of the nave are windowless. Gothic door fittings adorn the entrance gate. On the west facade, next to the portal, a Roman epitaph for Albinus, son of Secundus is walled in. The nave has a flat, white-painted wooden ceiling on the inside, and a simple wooden gallery to the west.

Facility

The high altar is a late Baroque shrine -Altar. His picture shows St. Rupert with a salt barrel. A medallion picture with a Maria Immaculata can be seen in the blasted segment gable between the cartilage decoration .

The picture of the baroque side altar on the north wall shows St. Martin sharing the cloak with the sword for a beggar. In the top picture is God the Father shown. At the top is a Christ and Mary monogram in a halo. The rectangular basket of the hanging pulpit (around 1700) is colored in the fields. A seated Madonna is attached to the north wall as a console figure.

Events

Every year on the occasion of the name day of St. Martin held an auction of live cattle in front of the church after Mass to help restore the church.
