The Roman Catholic branch church Rutzendorf is located in the Rutzendorf district in the municipality of Groß-Enzersdorf in the Gänserndorf district in Lower Austria . It is consecrated to St. Anne and belongs to the parish of Franzensdorf in the Marchfeld deanery in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The building is under monument protection ( list entry ).

Location description

The church is in the northeast of the village of Rutzendorf on the local road.

architecture

Church exterior

The building is a small late baroque village church from the second half of the 18th century. It has a simple nave with arched windows. The small church tower presented is crowned with a pointed helmet. A small sacristy annex adjoins the nave on the west side .

Church interior

The nave has a flat roof and is structured by pilaster strips . A surrounding cornice runs beneath the flat ceiling. The triumphal arch is flat arched. The choir is slightly raised compared to the nave. The end is straight.

Furnishing

In the church there is a remarkable picture of the "Death of St. Joseph " from the end of the 18th century. There is also a baroque figure of St. Mary and Child from the first half of the 18th century in the church.
