Filipe Sambado

Filipe Sambado (born June 6, 1985 in Lisbon , Portugal ) is a Portuguese singer and composer .

Live and act

He spent his childhood in Elvas , Lagos and Vila Nova de Santo André . He studied theater studies and dramaturgy .

His first album was released in 2016. In 2020 he took part in the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 (ESC 2020) for Portugal, the Festival da Canção , and made it to the final with the song " Gerbera amarela do Sul".

He lives in Lisbon.

style

Sambado regularly attracts attention for its extravagance and eccentricity . It is unusual costumes that he puts on and that make him look like Klaus Nomi or King Sebastian I in places . The lyrics of his songs are also absolutely unusual and not mainstream .

In an interview, he announced that he wanted to shock and provoke.
